Hello, I would like to show off my Van.
It is a 1998 Dodge, Model B1500, 3.9L V6, SWB with a Hi-Top.
SWB stands for (Short Wheel Base)

This was a Conversion Van, it had two center row captains chairs and a bench type seat in the back. The bench seat would pull and fold out flat and make a bed of sorts, but it was not what I'd call a good bed. This van is in great condition for its age, almost no rust. The hi-top section has 5 ft 2 in, head room, someone no taller than that can stand up in this van. I'm 5 ft 8 in, I can stand up, but I have to tilt my head.
I removed the center seats and the rear bench seat, and the under floor seat mount brackets. After the removal of the seats, I decided to take out the floor carpet. That required I remove the two front seats temporarily, that worked out pretty good. Because after removing the front seats, I could take out the carpet in one piece, from front to back.

After removing the carpet, I put the two front seats back in. I'll leave the front seats in for awhile, until I re-do the front with either a carpet or a rubber floor mat. Also for the purpose of moving the van around and such. After the carpet was out and the front seats back in. I started removing the interior panels and underlying fiberglass insulation. I didn't remove any of the overhead panels, I left all the overhead in place, since it was in great condition and had really nice oak trim, storage compartments, and built in light fixtures.

Now that the carpet has been removed exposing the floor, I now have 18 holes to plug. The holes were there because of all the seat bolt bracket mounts and seat belt buckle mounts.

I removed the panels from the side and back doors. I didn't realize how much space is inside. I'm thinking about covering the doors with plywood, and have cutouts so as to be able to access the cavities inside the doors for extra storage, and it'll make the doors look good.

Great looking rig! Yeah, using that 'wasted' space is awesome!
Hi Samantha, thanks for your comment. There is lots of usable space in a van that most people dont think of.
